Nicole Migeon, AIA, ASID, is principal of Nicole Migeon Architect, PLLC (NMA), a full-service, New York-based firm specializing in residential, commercial, hospitality, spa, and salon design. Nicole has over twenty years of experience in architecture and interior design, and several of the projects she has overseen have received design awards including the Hospitality Design Award and the New York State AIA Merit Award. Her firm’s work has been featured in the New York Times, New York Magazine, Interior Design, Elle Décor, Hospitality Design, Residential Architect, and American Spa, among other publications.
Nicole spent ten years as a painting appraiser at Sotheby’s and Phillips International Art Auctioneers, rising to become director of Phillips New York’s paintings department. Nicole brings a distinctive perspective to her design and architectural work, born from her background in fine and decorative arts and defined by a blend of classic principles and modern aesthetics. Nicole’s work consistently incorporates local artists and artisans, as well.
Nicole received her BS in Business Management from Syracuse University. She subsequently attended Parson’s School for Interior Design and received her Master of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Nicole is a registered architect in the State of New York and Massachusetts as well as an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and NCARB. NMA is a WBE firm that is also certified by the SCA and DDC. Nicole is an adjunct professor of design at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). In addition, she is a NCIDQ-registered interior designer.
